Barbara Tyson

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Barbara Tyson is a dynamic business strategist, economic justice advocate, and visionary leader. With over 15 years of experience in business development, government affairs, and community revitalization, she brings a unique blend of expertise to her role as CEO of the Black Business Administration.

A first-generation college graduate, U.S. Army veteran, and proud Floridian, Barbara founded BBA to create a structural solution to economic disparity in Black communities. Her leadership style is rooted in strategic thinking, servant leadership, and relentless execution. Under her guidance, BBA is not only bridging opportunity gaps but also redefining what’s possible for Black-owned enterprises across the country.

Barbara holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s in Public Administration. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate with a focus on business law and government relations.
