Meet Our Founder

Barbara Tyson is a dynamic business strategist, economic justice advocate, and visionary leader. With over 15 years of experience in business development, government affairs, and community revitalization, she brings a unique blend of expertise to her role as CEO of the Black Business Administration.
A U.S. Army veteran and public sector expert, Barbara founded BBA to create a structural solution to economic disparity in Black communities. Under her guidance, BBA is not only bridging opportunity gaps but also redefining what’s possible for Black-owned enterprises across the country.
